YOON JONGJU윤종주
b. 1971, lives and works in Daegu, Korea.Yoon Jongju (b. 1971) is an artist that specializes in creating monochromatic artworks by applying multiple layers of different colors onto canvas. She applies paint to the canvas to get a consistent surface, followed by a gentle sanding with sandpaper. Additionally, she places the canvas flat and secures the edges with tape. The artist pours a mixture of matte paint, acrylic paint, and ink onto the canvas, tilts it, and allows it to dry. She iterates the procedure of pouring paint onto the surface and allowing it to dry around 20 to 30 times. The painting combines the distinctive depth and spatial perception of the artist's work, resulting in a unified composition.

Subsequently, she relocated to the warehouse of her residence in Seo-gu, Daegu, then returned to Keimyung University, and later moved to Paju, Gyeonggi Province. “I feel that achromatic colors clearly express a person’s face. Clothes that are too colorful or flashy catch your eye before a person. I think that an artist should speak through his work, and a person should speak with his or her true face, so I choose plain clothes. I don’t insist on achromatic colors, but I choose clothes that are a little plain, but they can express myself and my work.”
