Song Sumin excavates hidden meanings from quotidian images by omitting their often-specific context and studying the alluring forms that are left alone. Song’s solo exhibitions were held at OCI Museum, Seoul, Korea; Artside Gallery, Seoul, Korea; Space55. Seoul, Korea; and Art Space Seo-ro, Seoul, Korea. Song’s work has been featured in group shows at Kumho Museum of Art, Seoul, Korea; North Seoul Museum of Art, Korea; COEX, Seoul, Korea; Project Space Sarubia, Seoul, Korea; and Incheon City Museum, Korea. Song has been selected as an artist-at-residence at OCI Young Creatives, Kumho Museum of Art, Czong Institute for Contemporary Art, and Project Space Sarubia. Song received her MFA and BFA from Ehwa Womans University in Seoul, Korea.
